Your unique reference (username) and password will be provided on your registration letter which will be sent to you once you have provided all the necessary information/documentation required and have been verified. Your password is the main applicant's date of birth and should be entered as follows:
If the main applicants date of birth is the 1st of February 1960, please enter 01/02/1960 (dd/mm/yyyy). You will not be able to login if these details are entered in the wrong format i.e. 1/2/60 or without the / entered in between.
Once you have entered these details, click on the blue Login box which will take you into your account. As per the example below, you will then be able to click on Click here to show the 19 properties that you are eligible for and Click here to search for properties. We recommend that you select Click here to show the 19 properties that you are eligible for which will take you to all of the properties you are able to place a bid on.

Making a bid
— “Please enter the property reference numberof the property you wish to bid for, followed by the hash key.”
(please remember to press the hash key # after inputting the property reference number)
— “You have entered the following property reference number.” (The property reference number that you entered will be read back to you. If you are not eligible you will be told why. If you are eligible you will be told your current queue position. Note your queue position will change as more people bid).
— “Press 1 to confirm, 2 to change the property reference number.”

Review / cancel your bids
Although you have 3 bids per bidding cycle you can also change your bids if you decide that you are more interested in another property.
— “You have bid on these properties.” (If you have already bid for properties you will be read a list
of the properties with a number).
— “Press the number of the property that you wish to cancel the bid for followed by the hash key.”
The property reference number and current queue position will be read to you. You will be told:
— “Subsequent bids may affect your queue position and some properties may be offered to the most suitable applicant.”
— “Press 1 if you are sure you want to cancel your
bid otherwise press 2 to exit.”
Exit

You can bid for properties using SMS (text) messages using a mobile phone. Remember that you can only bid for properties where you match what the advert asks for.
Charges - SMS charges do vary depending on who your mobile provider is but you can expect to pay about 10p or less per message.

1 Start a new text message on a mobile phone.
2 Type your housing register reference followed by a space (please make sure you put in a space after the housing register reference number otherwise you will not be able to place your bid).
3 Type in the memorable date (which is usually the main applicant's date of birth) followed by a space.
Please note that if the main applicant's date of birth is the 1st of February 1960, please enter 01021960 followed by a space. You will not be able to login if these details are entered in the wrong format i.e. 1/2/60 or without the / in between the dates.
4 Type the first property reference number followed by a space.
If you have finished bidding go to Step 6.
5 Type the second property reference number followed by a space.
If you have finished bidding go to Step 6.
To enter your third and final bid, you just need type your third property reference number followed by a space.
6 Send the SMS (text) message to 07781 486 813.
7 You will receive a text message confirming that your bid(s) has been accepted or if they have not been accepted, the reason why.
